Who Should Consider Joining

Formed in 2018, SS-Panzer-Aufklarungs-Abteilung 9 aims to portray, as accurately as possible, the riflemen and vehicle crews of the Reconnaissance Battalion within the coveted 9.SS-Panzer-Division, in the latter half of 1944. We operate under the designation of a Virtual Reenactment Group. This means we work hard to achieve high standards, in terms of our historical accuracy and portrayal. Those interested in joining our Unit should be interested in the long standing history of the Waffen-SS and Germany Army and the accurate portrayal of the professional soldier and conscript who fought during The Second World War, as well as the tactics that he employed on the battlefield.

Kameradschaft

In this unit, Kameradschaft is not only a word meaning comradeship and brotherhood. It is the philosophy that binds us together. If you aspire to become a member of this unit you must be willing to work hard and be part of a team. If one member faulters, his brüder (brothers) are there to support him. When one succeeds, we all celebrate his accomplishment. This does not mean, however, that we are a Unit full of snowflakes. If you are a Social Justice Warrior or one who puts heavy emphasis on Political Correctness, this may not be the Unit for you. During our down time off of the Field, we enjoy keeping a light and loose atmosphere with the ability to joke around with one another, just as a German combat unit would.

Regulations

To get a introductory sense of the maturity standards we expect, the below list has been compiled. Assuming you enlist and are accepted as a SS-Rekrut, there will be additional guidelines you will be expected to meet, these are simply the most fundamental and rudimentary:

• We do not support or condone the practice of any extremist political views, specifically National Socialism or the Nazi Party in any way.

• All Candidates must display professionalism, mutual respect, and show restraint towards fellow members and the public. You not only represent yourself but the Unit as well.

• Once formally inducted into the Unit, Mid-week trainings are optional but Sunday trainings are compulsory and, only with very good reason, can these important events be missed.

• All applicants to SS-Division "Hohenstaufen" must be the age of 20 or higher. Exceptions can be made however, and these will be dealt with on a case by case basis. If you are below the age of 20 and would still like to apply, please PM me.

• Rekruten and members alike need to be in Discord as much as possible. Kameradschaft is a pillar to the success and authenticity of this Unit and our disord server is the catalyst to which we use to build a strong camaraderie.

• Unit members must remain active on both the Public Server and Forum as well. Merely showing up to training once a week conveys a sense of apathy which is not a desired trait of a Unit member. There are plenty of other Units in the community that will allow you to show your face once a week.

• All of our members have a strong passion for History and thus enjoy discussing/debating different topics as amateur historians. You must be able to converse in a civilized mature manner and be open minded to other's arguments. Those who can not respect others who have a differing opinion than you will not last.
