Oberbefehlshaber der
Heeresgruppe Nordukraine
Headquarters, June 12, 1944
Ia Nr. 2781/44 Secret
Order Of the Day !
Soldiers of the II.SS-Panzerkorps !
On June 12th, 1944 the II.SS-Panzerkorps with the 9.SS-Panzerdivision ''Hohenstaufen'' and the 10.SS-Panzerdivision ''Frundsberg'' departs from the units of Heeresgruppe Nordukraine.
The Korps has, in the period during which it was subordinated to the Heeresgruppe Nordukraine, played a major role in the strengthening of the front at a very difficult time and in establishing a shield for the Generalgouvernement (Poland) and, in doing so, for the Homeland.
With the relief attack for Tarnopol and reestablishing contact with the 1. Panzerarmee at Buczacz, you, the men of the 9. and 10. SS-Panzerdivisions, have helped to erect this shield in a very critical situation.
Officers and troops, I give to you my thanks and recognition ! Men of the II.SS-PzKrps, you can be proud of the miltary successes that you have won under the leadership of your long experienced Kommandierende General, SS-Obergruppenfuehrer und Genderal der Waffen-SS Paul Hausser.
The Fuehrer's order calls you to new missions. I am certain that you will accomplish these in the spirit of our slogan, "No soldier in the world is better than the soldiers of Adolf Hitler !"
My best wishes accompany officers and troops. Hail to our Fuehrer !
Signed,
Generalfeldmarschall
