I played RO1 and RO2 quite a bit. Shows Rising storm and Red Orchestra 2 multi-player combined at 49 hours play time (most of it RO2) . I still play RO2 occasionally although the biggest fault with both games were the clipping through the terrain issues that plagued both games (especially important when you are a MG gunner and you have to lay down a lot to lay down suppressing fire). Other than this however it was pretty fun to play. Had some interesting ideas about team play (I think this was the first game that I remember that rewarded people for working together).

One thing i dont like about ro2 is that they dont really have armour.

That's because it was rushed and unfinished, then neglected. Most of the work on RO1 was done by independent hobbyists, i.e. armoured beasts, dh, mn, cc, etc. Ro1 was nothing without the modding community, then tripwire screwed up with ro2/rs, as focus was shifted heavily to modders working on RS. Thus the eastern front, and the potential for realism mods, armor, skins, etc fell apart. It was a disaster I was on the ground floor with, yet ro2 was still a decent shooter, my push for a direction of ab/dh and extra large mapping and teamplay fell by the wayside as they tried to emulate COD with a twist. A shame really, because ro1 and ro2 both were quite capable of achieving a more PS feel.

Great game ! Used to play it all the time - really enjoyed the Western front mod they added later on.
